Job summary

Service Corporation International seeks a dedicated Funeral Services Assistant to provide clerical and administrative support for funeral operations in New Braunfels, TX. You will meet client families, answer questions, and assist with services, ceremonies and memorials under supervision.

Qualifications

• Experience in customer service and/or sales preferred.
• Proficient with MS Office suite; ability to learn databases.

Responsibilities

• Provide clerical and administrative support for funeral operations.
• Greet client families and provide information and assistance.
• Assist with funeral, memorial and other services or ceremonies as requested.
• Prepare for services by handling floral arrangements, chairs, caskets and keepsakes.
• Operate office equipment and manage communications (phones, fax, email).
• Assist with visitations, set up, dressing and casketing remains as needed.
• Drive funeral home vehicles for services and family pickups (where permitted).
• Ensure refreshments are available as allowed by law and policy.
