Job summary

Qualifications

• Completion of a diploma training program in funeral service preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with service preparation, including setting up floral arrangements, chairs, caskets, urns, photos, and keepsakes, ensuring proper care and storage.
• Prepare documents related to services and cremations as directed.
• Assist with preparation of remains (dressing, lifting) and operation of crematory as allowed by law.
• Perform routine office duties and answer phones.
• Run errands for supplies and deliveries.
• Serve as an usher and assist with parking and transportation needs.
• Transport funeral home vehicles for services and family pickups.
• Ensure refreshments are available where permitted by law.
• Greet client families and provide information and assistance.
• Assist families during services and visitations.
• May wash/clean funeral home vehicles as required.
