Job summary

Qualifications

• Associates degree in hospitality, event planning, or related discipline required.
• Two years of event planning experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
• At least one year event planning or catering experience preferred.
• Proficient with MS Office and experience using proprietary software.

Responsibilities

• Plans events by reviewing contracts and discussing with Funeral Director for clarification.
• Schedules resources including facility space, equipment, and decor for events.
• Contacts and schedules vendors with budget and timeline expectations.
• Manages services arrangements (visitation, funeral, reception) per contracts.
• Communicates instructions to staff for setup, work assignments, and cleanup.
• Occasionally supports event setup and on-site issue resolution during events.
