Job summary

Service Corporation International is seeking a Funeral Director to lead arrangements conferences, preside over visitation and funeral services, and ensure compliance with applicable laws. You will interact with grieving families, coordinate merchandise and cemetery options, and supervise service teams to deliver compassionate, professional memorial experiences.

Qualifications

Graduated from an accredited school or college of mortuary science.
Current Funeral Director license within the practicing state.
Valid state driver’s license with acceptable driving record to operate company vehicles.
Experience in funeral industry preferred.

Responsibilities

Receives or initiates call to deceased next of kin and schedules Arrangement appointment.
Presides as MC for visitation, funeral, or graveside services and aligns with contractual arrangements.
Explains options (cemetery property, merchandise) and facilitates contracts.
Performs arrangements conference and guides families through life insurance and benefits.
Performs event planning for music, flowers, catering, and memorial products.
Interacts with family to fulfill death care requests and provides guidance to services team.
