Job summary

sci seeks a licensed Funeral Director in Washington to lead arrangements conferences, coordinate funeral services, and ensure compliance with mortuary regulations. You will work closely with families, guide them through the process, and oversee service logistics from arrangement to execution.

The role requires licensure, a mortuary science background, and strong empathy, communication, and problem-solving abilities.

Qualifications

Graduated from an accredited school or college of mortuary science.
Current Funeral Director license within the practicing state.
Valid state driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
Industry experience is preferred.
Strong cognitive ability including reasoning, planning, identifying problems, and applying learning.

Responsibilities

Arrangements Conference: Receives or initiates calls to next of kin, gathers information, schedules appointments, and confirms via email.
Directing Services: Presides as MC for visitation, funeral, or graveside services and ensures compliance with contractual arrangements.
Event Planning: Coordinates music, flowers, catering, and memorial products as part of arrangements.
General: Ensures compliance with local, state, and federal regulations; collaborates with team and management.
