Job summary

Everstory Partners is seeking a Funeral Director Apprentice to support professional embalming and preparation services under the Funeral Director. You will coordinate funeral arrangements and ceremonies, guiding families through service options and documentation with care and empathy.

Responsibilities include directing services, handling permits, maintaining a clean preparation area, and collaborating with clergy, staff, and pallbearers as needed.

Qualifications

• Education from an accredited school of embalming or mortuary science.
• High level of concentration and sustained attention.
• Able to stand/walk and frequently lift.
• Valid state driver's license.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to interact and collaborate effectively with others in a team atmosphere.

Responsibilities

• Performs embalming and preparation services under supervision of the Funeral Director.
• Coordinates all aspects of funeral arrangements and ceremonies.
• Guides families through service options and pricing information.
• Prepares permits and documents related to funerals and embalming.
• Directs funeral services and visitation; assists pallbearers and clergy as needed.
• Maintains cleanliness of preparation room and equipment.
• Fulfills other related duties as assigned.
