Job summary

Everstory Partners is seeking a compassionate Funeral Director/Embalmer to transform a loved one’s final event into a meaningful celebration. You will meet with families, explain options, and coordinate services with care and professionalism.

The role requires licensure as a funeral director and embalmer (or ability to obtain) and a strong focus on empathy, compliance, and teamwork, including occasional holiday and weekend work.

Qualifications

• 1 year of experience as a licensed funeral director.
• Must be licensed funeral director and embalmer or the ability to obtain a state license.
• Graduated from an accredited school of embalming or mortuary science.
• Possesses a high degree of concentration and attention for extended periods.
• Able to occasionally stand/walk and frequently lift or push.
• Possesses valid state driver’s license.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Availability to work some holidays, evenings and weekends as needed.

Responsibilities

• Meeting with clients to arrange funeral services, explain options, assist in casket selection, provide pricing information, and prepare contracts.
• Performing embalming services.
• Finalizing details discussed during arrangement conferences with appropriate tracking and compliance documents.
• Directing funeral services and visitation, coordinating pallbearers and greeting clergy.
• Preparing or coordinating permits, death certificates, and other required documents.
