Job summary

Denver Roller Incorporated in West Helena, Arkansas is seeking a funeral attendant to support services in the chapel and at off-site locations. Under the supervision of a licensed funeral director, you will assist with funeral services and participate respectfully in ceremonies, carrying and arranging caskets and flowers as needed.

This part-time, nights/on-call position requires a high school diploma, on-call availability, and a compassionate, professional demeanor.

Qualifications

High school diploma with additional training as provided by the funeral home.
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret procedures and regulations.
Ability to write reports and business correspondence.
Ability to present information and respond to questions from the manager and the public.
Good verbal and interpersonal skills; compassionate toward those grieving.

Responsibilities

Assists with funeral services in chapel and off-site locations (carrying and moving equipment, casket and floral arrangements).
Assists with first calls and removals at locations where death occurs.
Availability to be on-call as scheduled within an adequate response time.
Drive vehicles as needed (family limo, coach, 1st call van, flower van).
Available to work in more than one location.
Assist with greeting customers and guests unrelated to a family served.
Keep the funeral home and equipment neat and clean.
Attend scheduled staff meetings.
Other duties deemed necessary by funeral director and funeral home manager.
