Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of 3 years related experience as a Funeral Assistant.
• Driver's license with clean driving record.
• Basic knowledge of religious and fraternal organizations customs.
• Knowledge of computers and MS Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Arrange, conduct and direct bereavement rites professionally and compassionately.
• Confirm authorization to proceed with service arrangements.
• Inform families of veterans recognition services and coordinate delivery.
• Coordinate funeral services including parking, ushering, driving, chapel and cemetery tasks.
• Provide aftercare including documentation and pre-arrangements when needed.
• Share potential pre-need referrals with Family Service Counselors.
• Ensure compliance with licensing rules and regulations.
• Prepare and complete documents and online entries for services and cremations.
• Assist with general office duties and reports.
• Assist with maintenance of vehicles and facility.
• Receive caskets and supplies and place into inventory.
