Job summary

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write, and understand directions in English.
• Knowledge of sanitation practices relating to food handling.
• Ability to follow diet lists and portion food as specified.
• Ability to interact positively with residents, family members, and staff.
• TB skin test verification may be required annually.

Responsibilities

• Reports at assigned time, in uniform, ready for duty.
• Handles food and equipment according to sanitation policies.
• Delivers food carts, trays, and meals to designated areas.
• Serves in dining rooms and assists in meal preparation as directed.
• Assists in daily cleaning duties per policies.
• Reports discrepancies to supervisor.
• Ensures residents receive high-quality service in a caring atmosphere.
