Job summary

Glenaire is seeking an Environmental Services Technician/Housekeeper to provide essential cleaning and environmental services to residents in our Continuing Care Retirement Community. You will perform daily cleaning tasks, strip and remake beds in Independent Living areas, sanitize surfaces, and maintain high standards of safety and friendliness.

Responsibilities

• Perform day-to-day environmental service functions as assigned.
• Strip and remake beds in Independent Living areas.
• Clean walls, doors, door handles/knobs, ceilings, light fixtures, vents, light switches/receptacle covers, thermostats, windows, baseboards and pictures by washing, wiping, dusting, spot cleaning, disinfecting, deodorizing, etc.
• Remove dirt, dust, grease, film etc. from surfaces using proper cleaning/disinfecting solutions.
• Vacuum carpets and fill out carpet cleaning request forms, when applicable.
• Clean floors to include sweeping, dusting, damp/wet mopping, disinfecting, etc. (NOTE: assure that appropriate caution/safety signs are properly set up prior to performing such duties).
• Clean windows/mirrors in resident rooms, apartments, common areas, recreational areas, bathrooms and entrance/exit ways.
• Clean, wash, sanitize and/or polish bathroom fixtures.
• Clan/polish furnishings, fixtures, resident rooms, apartments, commons, recreational areas, etc., daily or as instructed.
• Perform self inspections.
• Perform specific tasks in accordance with daily work assignments.
