Job summary

Pittsford Volunteer Ambulance is seeking an Emergency Medical Technician to provide emergency medical care to the sick and injured in accordance with NYS DOH and MLREMS protocols. This part-time, non-exempt position supports our community by delivering high-quality patient care with professionalism and compassion.

The role requires strong communication, teamwork, and the ability to work shifts, with adherence to HIPAA and organizational policies.

Qualifications

• Must possess NYS EMT Certification.
• Maintain current CPR for EMTs.
• Valid NYS driver’s license.
• Hazardous Materials, OSHA, ICS and HIPAA training required.

Responsibilities

• Respond to emergency calls with high quality patient care.
• Complete ambulance and first-response vehicle checks per NYS DOH.
• Record worked hours and maintain documentation.
• Maintain confidentiality and HIPAA compliance.
• Attend mandatory meetings and report issues to supervisors.
