Job summary

Lynx Gary is seeking a dependable and compassionate Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) to join our team on a part-time day shift. The EMT will provide quality patient care, respond to medical needs, and work closely with clinical staff to support safe and effective patient outcomes.

Responsibilities include basic emergency medical assessment, monitoring patient conditions, documenting care, assisting with transport, and maintaining equipment and documentation.

Qualifications

• Current EMT certification/licensure as required by the state.
• Current BLS certification.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a healthcare team.
• Ability to remain calm and professional in fast-paced situations.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic emergency medical assessment and treatment within scope of practice.
• Monitor and document patient conditions and care provided.
• Assist with patient transportation, transfers, and safe movement.
• Respond promptly to patient needs and changes in condition.
• Maintain accurate and timely patient care documentation.
• Assist nurses, paramedics, and other healthcare professionals as needed.
• Maintain medical equipment, supplies, and emergency readiness.
• Follow all facility policies, safety procedures, and applicable regulations.
• Provide respectful, compassionate care to every patient.
