Job summary

Pittsford Volunteer Ambulance is seeking a dedicated Paramedic to provide frontline emergency medical care and leadership within our community. The role requires reporting to work on scheduled shifts, maintaining equipment, and upholding our standards of patient care and confidentiality.

The position supports ongoing education, adherence to NYS DOH protocols, and collaboration with EMS teams. This is a non-exempt role with evening shifts on Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays, hosted by Deputy

Qualifications

• Maintain NYS EMT-Paramedic Certification is required.
• Maintain AHA CPR for the Professional Rescuer or equivalent.
• Maintain a valid NYS Driver’s license.
• Complete Hazardous Materials, OSHA, IC, and HIPAA Training as directed.
• Participate in mandatory trainings as directed.

Responsibilities

• Respond to emergency calls and provide high-quality patient care.
• Record hours in accordance with policy and schedule.
• Complete ambulance and first-response vehicle checks per NYS DOH regulations.
• Maintain HIPAA confidentiality and professional conduct.
• Act as Pittsford Volunteer Ambulance ambassador while on duty.
