Job summary

3M HEALTHCARE is seeking a professional embalmer to perform embalming activities for deceased individuals with care and respect. Responsibilities include verification of identification and authorization, restorations, removals, dressing and cosmetics, and other preparation tasks for human remains.

Minimum requirements include education and licensing per state laws, and a willingness to comply with safety and regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent; Graduation from an accredited mortuary college or other degree as required by state law.
• Experience: Embalmer or Apprentice as required by state law; 2 years of embalming facility experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Adheres to all licensing regulations.
• Assists with maintenance of the preparation room and facility.
• Cleans soiled equipment and handles hazardous material spills.
• Ensures hazardous materials spills are handled per MSDS.
• Assists with chemical and supply inventory.
• Receives caskets and other funeral home supplies.
• Promotes a safe work environment via universal precautions.
