The Swinomish Indian Tribal Community is seeking a HEART Homes Caregiver in the Medical Department to provide compassionate, non-medical assistance to elders, supporting independence, dignity, safety, comfort, and quality of life while respecting cultural preferences.

Responsibilities include ADL support, health and safety checks, documentation, and coordination with the care team. Must have CPR/First Aid and WA long-term-care training; various credentials welcome.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred/required.
• HCA, NAC, or other qualifying credential/experience preferred.
• Current CPR and First Aid certification or ability to obtain it within required timeframe.
• Pass required Washington State long-term-care-worker training and H.E.A.R.T. Homes orientation.
• Ability to pass background screening and maintain required credentials.

Responsibilities

• Provide respectful assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, mobility, and continence care.
• Observe residents for changes in condition and report to RN Clinical Coordinator.
• Document services and resident observations; complete incident reports per policy.
• Support residents with nutrition, hydration, and daily routines; assist with appointments as needed.
• Follow resident care plans and maintain resident privacy and dignity.
• Communicate effectively with residents, families, supervisors, nurses, and other care-team members.
