Job summary

Choosecolumbusga is seeking an EHS Teacher to support Head Start classrooms in Columbus, GA. The role involves implementing developmentally appropriate curriculum, observing and recording child progress, and collaborating with families to support growth.

The position requires CDA/TC or higher degrees with progression across EHS levels, and offers a comprehensive benefits package and competitive compensation based on credentials and experience.

Qualifications

• EHS teacher qualifications by level: TCC/CDA or higher.
• Associate's/Bachelor's/Master's in ECE or TCC/CDA.
• Experience level 2: One to three years.

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain developmentally appropriate classroom activities.
• Observe and document children's progress and communicate with families.
• Recruit volunteers and solicit in-kind contributions.
• Develop daily lesson plans and schedules aligned with Head Start standards.
• Supervise children at all times and ensure safety across activities.
• Encourage positive behavior and model respectful interactions.
• Complete required paperwork (accidents, medications, allergies).
• Engage families through Home Visits and Parent-Teacher Conferences.

Education

TCC and/or CDA

Associate's Degree in ECE or TCC/CDA

Bachelor's Degree in ECE or TCC/CDA

Master's Degree in ECE or TCC/CDA
