Metro Star Services in Florida is seeking compassionate Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to join our growing team in St Cloud, Florida. You will provide hands-on care, help individuals develop daily living skills, and support inclusion in their communities.

Responsibilities include assisting with ADLs, meal prep, budgeting, and safe, person-centered care. A AMAP-certified medication administration may be required after training; weekly direct deposit pay and flexible schedules are offered.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• At least 1 year of caregiving, healthcare, or disability support preferred (college credits may be substituted for experience).
• Must be reliable, patient and compassionate.
• Ability to follow care plans and safety procedures.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to pass background checks and required certifications.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care services tailored to the individual's needs.
• Assist with ADLs, including personal hygiene, dressing, and grooming.
• Support meal preparation and dietary needs.
• Promote independent living skills like budgeting, groceries, and chores.
• Encourage community inclusion, social skills, and recreation.
• Implement goals and support plans in a person-centered environment.
• Ensure health and safety of all individuals in care.
• Identify, document, and report incidents or concerns as required.
• Administer medications accurately after completing an AMAP course.
• Communicate effectively with staff, management, and families for coordinated care.
