Help at Home is hiring Direct Support Professionals to provide one-on-one support to individuals with developmental disabilities in their homes and communities in Indiana. You’ll help with daily living skills, transportation, and community participation, enabling independence.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Successful background check and required training.
• At least 18 years old.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation with proof of insurance.
• Ability to work safely and respectfully in clients’ homes and communities.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one support to individuals with developmental disabilities — both at home and in their community — helping them live as independently as possible.
• Support daily living skills such as cooking, cleaning, personal care, or transportation.
• Encourage participation in social and community activities.
• Help individuals achieve personal goals and celebrate progress.
• Promote choice, independence, and self-advocacy.
• Document care, activities, and progress accurately.
• Communicate with team members to ensure consistent, quality support.
