Job summary

Thrive Community Support Services (Thrive CSS) is seeking Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to assist individuals with IDD in their homes and communities. DSPs help build independence, routines, and community connections.

Responsibilities include daily living assistance, skill development, and ensuring health, safety, and dignity. Flexible scheduling and opportunities for growth are available.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation preferred.
• Ability to pass required background checks (PA clearances).
• Strong communication skills and a compassionate, patient approach.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Experience supporting individuals with IDD is a plus, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Assist individuals with activities of daily living (personal care, meal preparation, household tasks).
• Support skill development to promote independence and self-advocacy.
• Encourage participation in community activities, employment, and social opportunities.
• Follow individual support plans, behavioral support strategies, and health plans.
• Ensure health, safety, rights, and dignity are upheld at all times.
• Complete accurate and timely service documentation.
• Communicate changes, concerns, or incidents to supervisors as required.
