Job summary

North Star Oregon, LLC. is seeking compassionate Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to provide support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD). Responsibilities include assisting with daily activities, facilitating community engagements, and promoting individual goals.

The role demands excellent communication skills, flexibility, and a commitment to person-centered care. Candidates must be at least 18 years old and possess a high school diploma or GED, with training opportunities provided.

Qualifications

• Prior experience working with individuals with I/DD or in caregiving roles.
• Certification in CPR/First Aid and Oregon Intervention System (OIS) (or willingness to obtain).
• Ability to pass a criminal background check through the Oregon Department of Human Services (ODHS).

Responsibilities

• Provide direct support with activities of daily living (ADLs).
• Facilitate engagement in community-based activities.
• Support individuals with vocational, social, and life skills development.
