Job summary

Better Living in Clear Lake, IA, is seeking a part-time Driver to safely transport residents to appointments and activities, while representing the community with professionalism.

You will support daily operations, including activity outings and community engagement, ensuring residents travel safely, comfortably, and on schedule. Training is provided, and a clean driving record is required.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Experience working with seniors, healthcare, hospitality, or customer service preferred.
• Ability to assist residents with mobility needs, including wheelchairs and walkers.
• Strong communication skills and a patient, friendly demeanor.
• Ability to follow schedules, directions, and safety procedures.
• Must pass background checks and meet state requirements for senior living transportation.

Responsibilities

• Safely transport residents to medical appointments, shopping trips, community events, and scheduled outings.
• Assist residents in and out of the vehicle, ensuring dignity and safety.
• Provide wheelchair assistance and secure mobility devices according to policy.
• Maintain accurate trip logs, schedules, and documentation.
• Follow all safety protocols and company policies during transport.
