Job summary

Liberty Dogs is seeking Dog Caregivers to provide humane, high-quality daily care for dogs on campus. Responsibilities include maintaining a clean, safe environment and supporting well-being to promote successful placements.

Ideal candidates have experience with dogs, can handle various temperaments, and possess strong organizational and communication skills. Shifts may vary and weekend work is required.

Qualifications

• Experience in animal care, kennel work, or volunteering with animals preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and work outdoors in varied conditions.
• Background check and valid driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Clean and disinfect kennels, runs, and common areas daily.
• Provide fresh food and water per schedules and dietary needs.
• Monitor dog health and behavior; report concerns to veterinary staff.
• Administer medications as directed by veterinary staff.
• Provide exercise, training support, and enrichment activities.
• Maintain accurate records of feeding, medications, and observations.
