Job summary

You will work part-time onsite, assist with medication delivery under veterinary guidance, train and socialize animals for adoption, and help maintain clean facilities while following safety protocols and collaborating with volunteers and staff.

Qualifications

• Affection for animals and welfare orientation.
• Must pass pre-employment background screening.
• Valid California driver’s license with clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily care, exercise, enrichment, feeding, and cleaning for shelter guests.
• Deliver medications as directed by veterinary staff.
• Observe animals for medical or behavioral issues and report findings.
• Maintain clean living areas, kitchens, bedding, and equipment.
• Input relevant information into animal databases.
• Foster humane interactions with staff, volunteers, and the public.
• Comply with safety regulations and Joybound policies.
• Collaborate with training department on behavior plans.
