Job summary

Almost Family provides Direct Support Professionals to assist individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in Central Oregon, including Bend and surrounding areas. You will help with daily living activities, promote independence and support clients in a safe environment.

Ideal candidates are open to various shifts; paid training is provided. The role offers part-time work with the potential to grow to full-time, plus benefits and a supportive team.

Qualifications

• Must be 18+ years of age.
• Able to pass a background check.
• 1+ years experience providing support for an I/DD individual and/or family member.

Responsibilities

• Provide help with activities of daily living (ADLs) including physical and emotional support, healthcare recommendations and support, behavioral interventions, and communication support.
• Provide transportation for appointments and daily activities.
• Develop and maintain client relationships and foster positive self-esteem.
• Provide assistance with general housekeeping and home management.
• Assist with aspects of personal care and hygiene (showering/bathing, toileting and changing incontinence briefs).
