Job summary

Rainbow Omega, Inc. in Alabama seeks an ICF Resident Aide (Direct Support Professional) to provide direct care for residents in a non-institutional, Christian setting.

You will work with the nurse team and support staff to deliver nursing support, daily care, and therapeutic activities. The role offers 12-hour shifts across day and night with shift differentials, competitive benefits, paid holidays, and generous PTO.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old with a High School Diploma or GED.
• Must have and maintain a valid Driver’s License.
• CNA certification and/or 1 year of experience with individuals with IDD is a plus.
• Must complete First Aid, CPR, CPI, OSHA, Infection Control, Abuse & Neglect, Individuals' Rights training within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Direct care and promote independence for residents.
• Collaborate with the ICF Nurse Team-Lead and health staff.
• Assist in implementing care plans and track resident progress.
• Support activities, meals, and social/therapeutic outings.
• Ensure safety, cleanliness, and compliance with regs.
• Transport residents to appointments and outings.
