Job summary

Allied Community Care in Laurel, MD is seeking a part-time Direct Support Professional (DSP) to provide one-on-one support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in home and community settings. The role offers flexible scheduling with 10–25 hours per week and evenings/weekends options.

You will assist with daily living activities, encourage community participation, and follow individualized plans.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must be 18 years or older.
• Able to pass a background check.
• Reliable transportation to client homes and activities.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Flexible and able to adapt to diverse needs.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care and support to individuals in their homes and in the community.
• Assist with activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, meal prep, light tasks, and basic skill-building.
