Focal Point Homecare in Bloomington, MN is looking for a Direct Support Professional to assist clients with daily living tasks, housekeeping, meal prep, and transportation to appointments. The role includes helping organize schedules and promoting community engagement.

Ideal candidates are 18+, fluent in English, have a valid driver’s license with access to a vehicle, and hold a high school diploma or equivalent. Training bonus offered to new staff.

Job description

Direct Support Professional Job Duties:

• Completing housekeeping tasks such as vacuuming, washing dishes and tidying
• Helping plan client appointments and organize a schedule
• Organizing with transportation arrangements to appointments
• Shopping for groceries and preparing meals that meet specific client dietary needs
• Encouraging client engagement in social networks and communities

Requirements:
· Interpersonal skills: sensitivity and compassion towards clients.
· Ability to work with a diverse population of people.
· Comfortable dealing with a variety of household pets (dogs, cats, fish, reptiles, etc.)

· Must be 18 years of age or older.

· Valid Driver’s license and vehicle.

· HS Diploma or equivalent required.

· Fluent in English Language.

Training Bonus: $200
Pay: $18 per hour
