Job summary

CommonSpirit Health's CHI Friendship seeks a Direct Support Professional to provide compassionate, person-centered support to individuals with developmental disabilities. You will assist with daily living activities, follow plans, document progress, and support community integration to help people lead fulfilling lives.

You will work closely with families and care teams, demonstrate patience and empathy, communicate clearly, and uphold safety, health, and welfare across all activities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent, or one year of work experience.
• Driver's license valid in North Dakota upon hire.
• Auto insurance in place upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Documents in an accurate and timely manner in all applicable records, charts and files of people supported.
• Attends program training with the QIDP and accurately implements all OSP/PCSP programs, learning objectives, and supports.
• Attends team meetings and completes assessments as required.
• Ensures each person within the department has all of his/her basic assurances met.
• Fosters community integration by helping people engage in employment, volunteering, clubs and church activities.
• Maintains health, safety and welfare, including medication administration and maintaining First Aid/CPR certification.
