Job summary

Abound Health is seeking Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) in Wood Ridge, NJ to provide caregiving and daily living support for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. DSPs assist with ADLs, community participation, and behavioral support to help clients live independently.

The role offers flexible schedules, weekly pay, paid onboarding and training, and opportunities for advancement.

Qualifications

Must be 18 years or older.
Valid driver’s license, current automotive insurance, and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

Build positive relationships and support individuals in achieving personal goals.
Assist with daily living activities such as meal preparation, hygiene, and household tasks.
Support individuals in community participation, employment, and social activities.
Use adaptive tools to aid learning and facilitate communication.
Encourage independence and help individuals develop new skills.
Monitor health and safety while maintaining a supportive environment.
Communicate with Abound Health team members, families, and external parties as needed.
Complete documentation and maintain schedules.
Participate in ongoing training and professional development.
