Job summary

Cedarhurst Senior Living is seeking a Dining Server to deliver exceptional dining experiences for residents and guests. The role supports daily meal service, assists with events, and collaborates with the dining team to uphold Cedarhurst’s high standards of service and resident wellbeing.

The position requires a high school diploma, up to two years of prior experience (senior living preferred), and familiarity with digital tools.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Up to two years of prior experience preferred, with senior living experience strongly desired.
• Relevant state or county licensure preferred, with ability to obtain licensure if required by the state in which employed.
• CPR or BLS certification preferred.
• Proficiency in common digital tools including Outlook, Excel, Word; familiarity with HR-related systems as applicable.

Responsibilities

• Assist with catering, room service, special events, and marketing functions to ensure resident satisfaction.
• Take food and beverage orders and deliver service courteously and efficiently.
• Maintain a clean, sanitary work area and follow food safety standards.
• Clear and reset tables; dispose of trash and clean containers; complete daily checklists.
• Assist with cleaning dining areas and maintaining floors, tables, and chairs.
• Knowledge of dining menus and effective communication of menu details to residents and guests.
• Prepare and maintain table settings to Cedarhurst's standards and create a welcoming atmosphere.
• Follow safety guidelines and infection control protocols; use PPE as required.
