Job summary

Graceworks Lutheran Services is seeking a full-time kitchen staff member at Bethany Village in Centerville, OH. The role involves preparing meals, trays, and special-function items, while tracking usage for billing and ensuring food safety and cost containment.

Qualifications

• Must have the ability to read, follow instructions and document as needed.
• Minimum 1-2 years of cooking experience preferred.
• Ability to pass a drug test, including marijuana testing.

Responsibilities

• Prepare menu items for all meals.
• Prepare fruit/cheese trays and other items for special functions and record usage for billing.
• Perform all assembly positions for cooks on tray line.
• Record temperatures of hot food items for tray line and Memory Support area.
• Substitute menu items for residents using Exchange Lists for Meal Planning.
• Maintain cost containment through proper production and sanitary handling.
• Clean and sanitize work surfaces; wash pots and cooking utensils.
• Complete closing duties and ensure proper storage of perishables.
