Job summary

The Gardens at Cedar Community is seeking a friendly Dietary Aide to support meals and dining operations for residents. The role focuses on creating a welcoming dining experience while following health and safety guidelines.

You will assist during meals, maintain dining areas, and help with cleaning and setup. Training is provided, and flexible shifts including weekends may be required to support our residents.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Excellent customer service with a courteous and helpful demeanor.
• Ability to communicate compassionately with older adults.
• No prior experience required; training provided.
• Ability to work in a team or independently.
• Flexible shifts, including weekends/holidays.
• Physical ability to stand, bend, lift, and move throughout the day.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents during meals and provide dining support as needed.
• Serve beverages, food items, and condiments courteously and promptly.
• Set up and maintain dining areas, tables, linens, and supplies.
• Clean and sanitize dining spaces, tables, chairs, equipment, and service areas.
• Scrape, load, and wash dishes; manage trash and recyclables.
• Follow dietary, sanitation, and safety guidelines.
