Job summary

Waycross Health & Rehab is seeking a PRN dietary aide to support meal service and kitchen operations. You will assist cooks, prepare snacks and desserts, and help deliver meals to patients while maintaining safety and sanitation standards.

Strong communication, teamwork, and attention to dietary orders are essential. This position is on-site, with a starting wage of $15.16 per hour, and offers weekly pay and benefits under a non-profit, mission-driven setting.

Qualifications

• Communicates well with associates, patients, family members and visitors in a warm, friendly manner.
• Reads and interprets safety rules and procedures; writes routine reports as needed.
• Ability to follow standardized recipes and procedural guidelines in daily tasks.

Responsibilities

• Assists cook in preparing desserts or snacks for patients.
• Assists cook in preparation of meals.
• Carries trays to patients on halls.
• Cleans tables in the dining area after each meal.
• Helps with salads, desserts and other dishes.
• Removes garbage from kitchen areas and hoses out containers.
• Records temperatures for freezers and walk-ins per procedures.
• Puts up stock and stores cleaning materials.
• Sets up tray line and serves meals and nourishments.
• Follows diet orders and records substitutions as directed.
