Job summary

Comer Health & Rehab is seeking a part-time PRN kitchen helper to support meal preparation and service for patients. You will assist cooks with desserts, prepare nourishments, and carry trays to dining areas, ensuring hygiene and safety standards are followed.

Responsibilities include maintaining clean dining and kitchen areas, labeling and storing leftovers, and promoting a warm, patient-focused service culture.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to read safety rules, operating instructions and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Assist cook in preparing desserts or snacks for patients.
• Carry trays to patients on halls and serve beverages.
• Clean tables and dining area after meals; assist with salads and desserts.
• Prepare between-meal nourishments and stock leftovers safely.
• Operate dish and cleaning equipment and maintain cleanliness.
• Record temperatures and stock as needed; follow infection control policies.
