We offer full-time, part-time, or flexible scheduling with various shifts, including weekends and holidays. Starting wage is $19 per hour, commensurate with experience.

Qualifications

• Previous cooking experience, preferably in healthcare or senior living.
• Knowledge of food preparation, sanitation and safe food-handling practices.
• Ability to follow recipes, menus and dietary instructions.
• Reliable attendance and punctuality.
• Ability to work independently while also being a strong team player.
• Willingness to work with residents and coworkers, staying organized and efficient.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook meals according to established menus, recipes, and dietary requirements.
• Prepare food in appropriate quantities while maintaining quality and presentation.
• Follow residents' prescribed diets, food preferences, and special dietary needs.
• Maintain proper food temperatures and follow all food safety and sanitation procedures.
• Assist with meal service and ensure meals are served accurately and on time.
• Properly store, label, and rotate food and supplies.
• Monitor food inventory and communicate supply needs to the Dietary Manager.
• Keep kitchen, equipment, work areas, and food preparation areas clean and sanitary.
• Follow infection control and workplace safety procedures.
• Work cooperatively with dietary staff, nursing staff, and other members of the care team.
• Provide friendly and respectful service to residents and respond appropriately to their needs.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
