Job summary

Avir at White Rock seeks a Dietary Cook to join our caring team. As a resident-focused facility, you will prepare high‑quality meals for residents, guests, and staff, while upholding safety and nutrition standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Previous office experience preferred.
• Previous Nursing Home experience preferred.
• Culinary and/or food service experience in a health care facility preferred.

Responsibilities

• Utilize a variety of cooking and food preparation equipment and techniques.
• Prepare simple food regimes and basic modified diets regarding individual resident nutritional needs.
• Adjust recipes to yield the required number of servings if necessary
• Test recipes and recommend changes in recipes.
• Prepare and cook food in batches, maintaining high quality and appeal.
• Direct activities of one or more workers who assist in preparing and serving meals.
