Job summary

Avir at White Rock in Dallas, TX is seeking a Dietary Cook to join our resident-centered team. You will prepare and cook high-quality meals for residents, guests, and staff, following dietary guidelines and preferences.

This full-time position offers competitive pay, daily pay options, 401(k) with match, and comprehensive health benefits for families, along with PTO and holidays. Experience in healthcare food service is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Previous office experience preferred.
• Previous Nursing Home experience preferred.
• Culinary and/or food service experience in a health care facility preferred.

Responsibilities

• Utilize a variety of cooking and food preparation equipment and techniques.
• Prepare simple food regimes and basic modified diets regarding individual resident nutritional needs.
• Adjust recipes to yield the required number of servings if necessary.
• Test recipes and recommend changes in recipes.
• Prepare and cook food in batches, maintaining high quality and appeal.
• Direct activities of one or more workers who assist in preparing and serving meals.
