Job summary

Centerville Post Acute is seeking a Dietary Cook to prepare nutritious meals for residents in a on-site kitchen. The role follows approved menus, dietary restrictions, and safety standards to ensure timely service and proper portioning.

You will work as part of the dietary team to maintain a clean, sanitary environment while collaborating with nursing staff and residents. Prior cooking experience in healthcare or long-term care is a plus.

Qualifications

• Previous cooking experience preferred; healthcare, long-term care, or institutional food service experience is a plus.
• Knowledge of basic food preparation and sanitation practices.
• Ability to follow menus, recipes, and special dietary instructions.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and safely lift and carry food supplies and kitchen equipment.
• Must be dependable, punctual, and able to work as part of a team.

Responsibilities
