Job summary

Apploi in Illinois is seeking a Dietary Aide to support all food functions in accordance with policies and procedures. You will prepare and serve meals per planned menus and standardized recipes, including special diets, while maintaining nutritional standards.

You will keep the kitchen and dining areas clean, deliver snacks and meals, assist with dishwashing, and follow infection-control procedures. English proficiency and teamwork are essential in this role.

Qualifications

• Must read, write, speak and understand English.
• Maintain supplies and sanitation of work areas.
• Patience, tact, cheerful disposition & enthusiasm with residents.
• Willingness to adopt new food practices.
• Must not pose a direct threat to health or safety.

Responsibilities

• Review, prepare & serve meals per planned menus with standardized recipes and special diets.
• Maintain department cleanliness and sanitation; follow infection control precautions.
• Perform dishwashing/cleaning; ensure utensils are available for next meal.
• Prepare & deliver snacks and meals; deliver food carts/trays; assist in kitchen/dining area upkeep.
