Job summary

Advanced Health and Rehab of Twiggs County is seeking an individual to assist in food preparation, serving meals, and maintaining sanitary dining areas under supervision. The role emphasizes teamwork, hospitality for residents, and safe food handling.

The position involves delivering meals, checking diet trays, and keeping kitchen and dining spaces clean and organized in a fast-paced healthcare setting. Training under the Dietary Manager/cook is provided as needed.

Qualifications

• Experience in hospital or skilled nursing facility dietary department preferred.
• Organized and detailed in work performance.
• Good communication skills with patience and self-discipline.
• Genuine caring for elderly and disabled people in a nursing facility.
• Comply with Residents’ Rights and Facility Policies and Procedures.
• Perform work tasks within defined physical demands.
• Perform Essential Duties as outlined in the job description.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation and serving of meals and snacks.
• Check trays for menu and diet preferences and accuracy.
• Set up trays and deliver meals to residents.
• Set up serving line with cold foods and utensils.
• Work on central tray service line for general and modified diets.
• Deliver loaded food carts and return unloaded carts to dishwashing.
• Wash dishes and clean kitchen equipment and dining areas.
• Wash, sanitize, and store trays, dishes and utensils.
