Job summary

Qualifications

• Experience in hospital or skilled nursing facility dietary department preferred.
• Organized and detailed in work performance.
• Good communication skills with patience.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation and serving of meals and snacks.
• Check trays for menu and diet preferences and accuracy.
• Set up trays and deliver meals to residents.
• Set up serving line with cold foods and utensils.
• Work on central tray service line for general and modified diet trays.
• Deliver loaded food carts and return unloaded carts.
• Wash dishes and clean dining area and equipment.
• Wash, sanitize and store trays, dishes and utensils.
• Stock and store food items and assist in inventorying incoming supplies.
• Report hazardous conditions or accidents as necessary.
• Attend in-service education programs and maintain confidentiality.
