Job summary

Ciena Healthcare's Hickory Ridge of Temperance facility in Michigan is seeking a Dietary Aide to support daily food service operations. You will assist with meal preparation, tray assembly, delivery, and sanitation to ensure residents receive nutritious meals in a clean, safe environment.

The role requires reading diet cards, following recipes, operating basic kitchen equipment, and maintaining equipment and workspaces per procedures.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and follow diet cards and portion guidelines.
• Computer skills are required.
• Meets all state and federal criminal background check requirements.

Responsibilities

• Handles and stores food according to procedures and safety guidelines.
• Assists with food preparation and set-up of tray line.
• Assembles diet trays matching foods to diet cards.
• Delivers trays and nourishments to units and residents.
• Cleans dishes and maintains kitchen equipment per procedures.
• Reports equipment problems to supervisor promptly.
• Prepares and serves alternates as directed.
• Maintains clean and safe workspaces and equipment.
• Assists with state inspection preparation with the diet manager.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
