Job summary

Healthcare Services Group, Inc. is seeking a Dietary Aide to prepare and serve meals for residents in a long-term care facility. You will work with a caring team to follow dietary guidelines and safety standards, ensuring a positive dining experience for residents.

No prior experience is required, but a friendly, professional demeanor is essential. Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds, stand for extended periods, and obtain ServSafe or Food Handler certification as required by state law.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience in food service is preferred but not required.
• Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team.
• Must be able to lift/carry a maximum of 30 pounds, push/pull 50 pounds, stand and walk for extended periods.
• Current ServSafe or Food Handler certification required by state/county law.

Responsibilities

• Assist with food preparation, including chopping vegetables and preparing salads.
• Serve meals to residents according to dietary needs and portion sizes.
• Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment, utensils, and dining areas.
• Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines.
• Interact positively with residents, staff, and guests, providing excellent customer service.
• All other duties as assigned.
