Job summary

Plum Tree Care Center in San Jose CA is seeking a Dietary Aide on a per diem basis. The role supports all food service tasks under the guidance of the Dietitian and Food Services Director, ensuring meals are prepared and delivered to residents with quality and compassion.

The position emphasizes teamwork, adherence to food policies, and maintaining sanitary work areas while contributing to a caring, patient-centered dining experience for residents.

Qualifications

• Must read, write, speak, and understand English.
• Ability to make independent decisions when needed.
• Ability to interact tactfully with residents, staff and visitors.
• Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of food service areas.

Responsibilities

• Assist in all food functions as directed per policy.
• Work with Dietitian/Director of Food Services on changes.
• Follow food procedures and maintain safety standards.
• Serve meals timely and assist in meal setup.
• Assist in daily cleaning and stock food supplies.
• Check diet trays and deliver carts and trays as assigned.
