Job summary

White Blossom Care Center in San Jose, CA is seeking a Full-Time Dietary Aide to assist in preparing and serving nutritious meals for residents while maintaining a clean, safe dining environment. This role offers consistent hours with a rotating weekend schedule and comprehensive benefits.

Join our culinary team and help ensure meals meet prescribed dietary plans while providing warm, friendly service in a healthcare setting. Previous food service experience is preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• Experience in healthcare or skilled nursing food service preferred but not required.
• Valid Food Handler's Permit or willingness to obtain one on hire.
• Ability to read, write, and follow oral and written English instructions.
• Physical stamina to stand long periods and lift/move up to 30–50 pounds.
• Strong teamwork, warm personality and patience with residents.

Responsibilities

• Meal Preparation: assist the cook in preparing meals, snacks, and beverages.
• Tray Assembly: set up dining rooms and assemble food trays per diet cards.
• Service: serve meals to residents with a friendly attitude.
• Sanitation: clean and sanitize dishes, utensils, equipment, and dining areas.
• Inventory & Safety: unpack, store, rotate food stocks; follow safety standards.
• Compliance: follow health dept regulations and facility safety guidelines.
