Job summary

SLP Operations, LLC seeks a Dietary Aide to support food preparation, meal service, and kitchen maintenance in a long-term care facility. You will assist with meal assembly, tray verification, and safety-compliant storage while maintaining resident-centered service.

Qualifications

• Experience in a healthcare food service setting preferred, long-term care experience a plus.
• Must interact positively with residents, families, and regulatory agencies, and work collaboratively with employees at all levels.
• Must maintain consistent attendance and be willing to work long or irregular hours, often under pressure.
• Must comply with all local health regulations and successfully complete a post-offer health assessment.
• Must be able to perform the essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Physical and Sensory Requirements: reading, writing, and speaking fluent English to communicate with residents, families, staff, and community agencies.
• Ability to perform physical activities such as walking, reaching, bending, stretching, pulling, and lifting.
• Adequate fine and gross motor coordination to carry out required tasks.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation and serving of meals and snacks per portion control procedures.
• Clean and sanitize work areas, equipment, floors, dishes, and utensils.
• Distribute menus and verify meal trays for accuracy, including diet requirements.
• Ensure proper storage and handling of food and supplies per safety standards.
• Follow sanitary, safety, and infection control policies and procedures.
• Respect residents' rights and promote appropriate care practices.
• Assist with inventory control and storage of incoming items for meals.
• Attend and participate in training sessions, educational activities, and staff meetings.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
