Job summary

Pearl of Elk Grove is seeking a Dietary Aide to perform designated dietary tasks and cleaning routines under the Dietary Manager. The role includes assisting the cook, setting up dining, and ensuring meals are served on schedule while complying with regulations.

Ideal candidates will have a high school diploma and prior institutional dietary service experience; strong reading skills for recipes and diet orders, plus good manual dexterity and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• High School graduate is preferred for this role.
• Ability to read, understand and follow recipe directions and diet orders.
• Willingness to perform routine tasks with interruptions and maintain cleanliness.

Responsibilities

• Perform defined work routines using dietary utensils and equipment.
• Assist cook in preparation and service of meals.
• Meet scheduled meal and snack times and follow schedules.
• Follow Federal and State long-term care regulations and Dietary policies.
• Follow cleaning schedules and maintain sanitation and safe work areas.
• Assist in arranging tray cards, loading carts and serving meals.
• Apply infection control and HIPAA compliance as required.
