Job summary

Ridgeview Rehabilitation and Skilled Nursing is seeking an experienced Dietary Aide to join our long-term care unit. The role supports residents with meals, trays, and dining services while adhering to facility policies.

We offer comprehensive benefits and a team-focused care environment. The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or equivalent (preferred) and up to one year of large-scale cooking operation experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• One year's work in a large-scale cooking operation, preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in daily or scheduled cleaning duties in accordance with established facility policies and procedures.
• Carry out garbage and keep work areas clean, dry and free of hazardous equipment, supplies, etc.
• Carry soiled utensils to wash area.
• Remove food trays from carts, dining rooms, etc., and take to dishwashing area.
• Deliver food carts, trays, etc., to designated areas.
• Serve food in dining room.
• Prepare and deliver snacks, etc.
• Assist in serving meals on a timely basis.
• Distribute and collect menus.
• Set up meal trays, food carts, dining room, etc.
• Return clean utensils to proper storage areas.
• Assist in checking diet trays before distribution.
• Assist in food preparation for special meals and events.
• Dispose of food and waste in accordance with established facility policies.
• Follow established infection prevention and control policies and procedures when completing daily tasks.
• Always follow safety regulations and precautions.
