Job summary

Yona is seeking a Dietary Aide to join our team and support meal service for residents. The role involves setting up dining spaces, preparing meals under supervision, delivering trays, and maintaining clean dining areas.

Ideal candidates will have proven dietary aide experience, basic food-safety knowledge, good communication, and a strong work ethic. A high school diploma or equivalent is required, with certification in food services a plus.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as dietary aide.
• Further experience in customer service will be appreciated.
• Knowledge of sanitation and safety guidelines.
• Apt in operating cookware, bakeware and cooking appliances.
• Friendly with good communication skills.
• Good physical condition and stamina.
• High school diploma or equivalent; certification in food services is a plus.
• Must provide a criminal background check.

Responsibilities

• Set up dining areas with cleanliness and order.
• Prepare meals under supervision of a dietary manager or cook.
• Deliver dishes and trays at designated times and rooms.
• Take down dining areas and collect plates, glasses, etc.
• Discard leftovers and take out garbage; clean food stations and wash dishes, vessels and silverware.
• Stock ingredients and monitor inventory.
• Assist in tracking expenses and menu planning.
• Help maintain kitchen equipment and appliances.
